Peanuts originated in Brazil, Peru and were firstly introduced to Fujian Province, China in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD). A peanut is known as "a longevity nut" in China. Peanut contains a lot of trace elements, which are beneficial to human body. In terms of its nutrition, the energy of peanut is higher than meat, 20 percent higher than milk and 40 percent higher than eggs.
